“The leadership training program gave me tools to use both at work and outside of work”
The starting point for Emergy® leadership training program couldn’t have come at any better time for Juho Keitaanniemi, Field Engineer
100% of our customers recommend our trainings.
Find out what our customers are saying:
I have been able to use the tools and skills that I learned in the training at work. I have, for example, used the seven psychological needs as a basis for my development dialogues. So far, the results are so promising and now our dialogues with the team are honest and open.
Thanks to Emergy training program, we have increased the courage and skills to raise the issues that were previously left unaddressed. There are now far more honest discussions. At the same time, our ability to be present and truly listen to what others are saying has strengthened.
Emergy® training gave us a huge amount of practical tools to support the cultural change within our organization. The tangible development in the leadership competence has already shown us that we are on the right track. We had tried several different leadership trainings before but I must say the training Emergy provided has been one of its kind. As the experience and feedback from our leaders have been so excellent, we have decided to offer the same training to everyone in our organization.
From the training program, we learned emotional skills that we were able to apply in the large organizational change we had just gone through. And as a result of this, our employee satisfaction has increased, the sick leaves decreased substantially and our customer satisfaction has increased significantly.
Through Emergy Emotional Agency™ program we have come to realize that emotions and workplace emotional skills are part of our daily lives at VTT: the different encounters, the processes and operating models, project work etc. People have realized that these are not separate skills but crucial to our individual and organizational wellbeing and performance. Emotional agency also creates psychological safety, which is related to high performance. In order to be innovative, we need thriving people.
As a pragmatic person, I want to understand the relationship between cause and effect. Although many people still may not think that emotions are part of the workplace, they are always present. They have an impact on motivation, cooperation and therefore on the performance overall. In a professional services organization such as ours, the impact of performance i.e. quality, productivity and efficiency of client work are significant as a whole and therefore emotions need to be taken into account in the leadership. From the training I learned the cause and effect relationship between positive and negative emotions. I also got tools to deal with these different emotions and how to apply the learnt tools in both our own personnel’s daily work and in the work life of our clients’ as well as in the change management.
